The Ark was a much more friendly approach to the show that tried to take itself seriously. While the episode does deal with some deep themes like an earlier episode, it had the more child like attraction to it that made the episode more popular than the previous story, with the views jumping as nearly as high as they once fell. Coincidentally, the episode has much to do with modern times than many would assume. So what is this episode about?

Well, it's been quite a while for me to post something on my DA, so I figured I'd do a review to cheer me up. I recalled this episode being next on my list of episodes to review so I found some audio footage and proceeded to watch them. I recall watching the episode before, but I remembered nothing about it on my first viewing. There are some episodes of Doctor Who I could remember after about a few stories after, and this one was one of them. Not only where all episo

Missing Episodes: 10/13 (Including "Mission to the Unknown", and "The Feast of Steven")
This was a pretty different story to what is normally expected in Doctor Who. At the time these 13 episodes (I'm including "Mission to the Unknown") came out, Doctor Who was a children's show. (That showed people dying in every story. :D) This was an episode that gave the Doctor a darker story, a very dim and less for filling climax that the Doctor usually gets. Once Vicki left the show, Doctor Who began to get darker, and it was the decision of producer John Willis a

Doctor Who Review: Katarina
I guess she is a companion in Doctor Who, but calling her that weird. It's like calling that dumbass weirdo that traveled with the 9th Doctor for one episode was a companion. It doesn't fell like a deserved title. Katarina was played by Adrienne Hill doesn't even show up that much in The Myth Makers, her first appearance in November 6th, 1965. Troy, the location she came from, doesn't even show her forming a connection with Steven or Vicki, the actor she was to replace. It was decided by the time The Daleks' Master Plan was being written that she would be killed off because writing such a companion would be to complex for the writers to h
Vicki was the replacement for Susan Foreman, played by Maureen O'Brien, and it's pretty obvious why she was casted to be so. Her first episode was The Rescue which aired on 2 January 1965 and her last appearance was in the Myth Makers on 6 November 1965. Maureen O'Brien was at first just suppose to be a replacement, being told by Sydney Newman that they were considering having her hair cut and dyed it black. O'Brien refused, saying, "Why don't you just get Carole Ann Ford back?", and this is why Vicki worked for me as a character. She was everything a companion was suppose to be in Doctor Who, surprised, worried, confused, interested, and

Number of Episodes Missing: 4/4
The Myth Makers was another pure historical story written by Donald Cotton and directed by Michael Leeston-Smith, a director you will probably never hear of again and a writer who was only known for writing this episode and the widely despised The Gunfighters and creating the TV show Adam Adamant Lives!. He also has written another Doctor Who story called The Herdsmen of Aquarius, but it was rejected by Gerry Davis in June 1966. Unfortunately, for Donald Cotton, his best episode was lost in its entirety, with only a few seconds of cl

Doctor Who was now in it's third season, having already been a pop culture in the minds of many, however producer of the show Verity Lambert, was leaving the producer's role of the show, and this was her last episode. Even thou only one episode, Airlock, of this story is in the BBCs archives, about half of the actual story's clips have been salvaged and scraped together. There have been moments in the Loose Cannon Reconstructed lost epi
